You, yes you, can have a beautiful event even on a budget. Your bottom line is important; the experience you provide to your guests is equally important. That's how you get them coming back for more. Here are a few steps to help you save your dimes while providing the "Ohhhh - Ahhh" experience for your guests. 

1. Plan your theme or color scheme at least 6 months in advance.

• The sooner you can have that planned out the sooner you can start bargain hunting for your decor items.

2. Conceptualize your decor design - then plan with sketches.

• Number of tables and location (bonus: don't make guests navigate tight spaces).
• Centerpieces for the main seating areas and the cocktail/social areas.
• Visuals for check in/check out tables, floor decor, enhancements for mission messaging, and don't forget line management (no cramped spaces).

3. Shop the sales! 

• Download apps for the stores that have the supplies you need (i.e Michaels, Hobby Lobby). They have wonderful sales all the time. Downloading their app will keep you in the loop of around what's on sale and when. Also, after you make a purchase you will receive a 40% off you next purchase "coupon" SAVE THAT and use it for larger purchases.
• Take your time, if you can plan theme and colors early you can gather supplies and decor for months leading up to your event at great deals.

4. Think outside of the box

• Reach out to your local floral shops/grocery store floral departments for event florals. They throw out flowers often that can be repurposed. The earlier you reach out, the sooner you will know what floral you will have available the day of your event. Gaining the commitment can save you from busting your budget.
